It finally happened to Jake

He walked into the corner of my bed. Brave little man came out crying and said there was blood! We determined it would probably need stitches, so Daddy took Jake and Ryan to the ER while I stayed home with the girls. Apparently the MD didn't numb him completely so Jake wasn't happy about the stitches going in. But he has his two little "cat whiskers" above his right eye and his little prize beanie baby they gave him and he seems to be over it. Not too bad, made it just a shade over three years!

Jake's 3!

I can't believe my little guy is 3! We had his party last weekend, with a pirate theme. That will hopefully explain why my dad is in pirate garb, but it still doesn't explain the "parrot" dragon. Jake has officially (finally) decided that he is done with diapers. I suppose it helps that the pediatrician told him "you are too old to wear diapers, you're 3 years old and it's time for underwear". We've had a few accidents, but he's in unders all day, and a pull up all night. He's very proud and tells anyone who'll listen! Happy birthday Jacob, you're a one of a kind kiddo and we love you for it!

Happy 2nd Birthday Braeden!

Big girl

Miss Cecilia is crawling, gets herself into a seated position from her belly, has her second tooth coming in, will not eat baby food anymore-only table food, and is already into 18 month clothing. I swear I just brought her home from the hospital last week! It's hard to believe she's already 8 months old.

Is it deep enough yet?

When Jake bathes, you can't give him enough water. He always says, it's not deep enough, or his tummy's cold. Last night Joel decided to let Jake have as much water as he wanted.
I think it was finally deep enough!

First sledding trip/injury

Nothing broke, and he's still alive. Although to hear him tell it you wouldn't think so. Especially when he says "and it was bleeding and there was BLOOD" so dramatic.

Prayer Request

My Uncle Glenn was just diagnosed with Hairy's Cell Leukemia. Apparently this is a "good" leukemia to have if you have to have one. None the less, he has a two young daughters and a wonderful wife who would definitely appreciate any prayers sent their way. Hopefully his treatment will be successful and he will make a complete and fast recovery and get back to teaching and being a great dad. Any and all prayers for him and his family would be greatly appreciated.
