We started out the night with the kids riding bikes in the garage. Amy came over with her 3 kids, so there were a whole lot of little feet running through the house.
Then we moved into the house for some snacks, toys, books, playtime, and eventually a movie.
After our three kids were in bed asleep, we popped in a movie for Damon. Then the adults-and Amy's oldest played some cards. First it was hearts, then war, then go fish. We had some yummy dessert, joked around and laughed till we were almost in tears, and finally we set the kitchen timer for the midnight countdown. When it beeped at us we toasted our champagne and sprite and then swiftly called it a night. Who says you have to go out and spend money to have a good time? We had so much fun just being with friends at our home!
